Description

Tested using the current Steam release, sadly hashes of the re-release don't match.

It would be helpful if we can assign versions to the re-release pak files as they get updated. Any ideas of how expose the version of these or the current executable?

Research direction

Start with Quake.dat and compare its existing pak-file hashes against the current Steam Quake re-release. Investigate whether the pak files or executable expose a reliable version, then update the database so the re-release can be identified and its hashes are recorded.
