Description
Hello everyone,
This is the first time I post an issue so I am sorry if I don't do it right. The post is quite long but I tried to be as precise as possible.
I am using hatari via its implementation in recalbox on a raspberry 3.
The emulator itself is working fine but I have issues with the mouse pointer and more precisely with the trackpad of my Logitech K400 plus keyboard :
- before latest recalbox update of december where the hatari core has been updated to its latest version, I could move the mouse pointer with the trackpad of my K400 BUT I could not click (no effect when clicking via the keyboard) => so it was not useable;
- with the latest version, I cannot move the pointer anymore using the trackpad and I still cannot click => so it is still not useable.
Some additional precisions :
- the rest of the keyboard is working : letters, space and so on. Only the trackpad and the click is not working;
- I can play with my gamepad in joystick mode;
- when I press on the gamepad, I am in mouse mode. In that case I can move the pointer with the analog stick but it is not well calibrated (the pointer moves automatically down although not moving the stick) => is there a way to calibrate it ? By the way, it is strange but in the GUI menu, the issue is not present : the pointer moves well according to the sticks and does not move when I leave the stick in upright position;
- recalbox embeds other emulators such as scummvm. With scummvm I can move the pointer with the trackpad of the K400. So the K400 is well recognized by the raspberry.
So my two questions are :
- is there a known bug with the mouse on a raspberry and are other users experimenting this issue ?
- if so, is there a workaround or is it planned to correct it in the future ?
- is there a way to calibrate the analog stick of the gamepad such that when in joystick mode, when the stick is in upright position, the pointer does not move ?
Thanks in advance for your answers ?

Research direction
Start by reproducing the mouse and analog-stick behavior in Hatari through Recalbox on a Raspberry Pi, using the Logitech K400 trackpad and gamepad described in the report. Compare pointer behavior in the emulator and its GUI menu, then determine whether input handling or calibration is responsible. Done means the trackpad can move and click, and the analog stick does not drift.
