Description

Hello.
Thanks for reading my topic.
DOSBox Pure happen sound cracking and popping in several games even having an host CPU with good speed.
In previous version 0.9.9 in Core Options \ Emulation has an option Advanced Input Latency. If selecting "irregular latency" fix the sound cracking and popping and not has input latency.
DOSBOX option Advanced Input Latency selecting irregular latency does input instantaneously without any noticed delay.
Why removed that option ?
Current version 1.0 preview 2 has removed menu Core Options emulation and not has any other option to fix that sound issue and not is possible use it because of constant sound issues.
Please go back the menu option emulation with the advanced input latency setting allowing user select "irregular latency".

Have an nice week.

Research direction

Start by tracing the Core Options > Emulation menu and the Advanced Input Latency setting described in the issue, comparing version 0.9.9 with 1.0 preview 2. Confirm how selecting “irregular latency” affects the reported sound cracking and popping, and consider the work done when the option is available again and its behavior is verified.
