Description
OS: MacOS Monterey 12.6.7
CPU: Intel
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 515
Retroarch version: 1.16.0, build date Aug 20, 2023
BlastEm Core Version: v.0.6.3-pre
Issue:
When trying to launch any Sega MegaDrive ROM with BlastEm v0.6.3-pre on MacOS with a fresh install, Retroarch crashes to desktop immediately without loading the ROM. The CLI error message is:
alloc_code: Cannot allocate memory
Failed to allocate memory for generated code
The issue seems to be independent of the video driver, I tried GL, GLcore, vulcan and metal.
BlastEm was working fine with my hardware on a previous version.

Research direction
Reproduce the crash by launching a Sega MegaDrive ROM through RetroArch with the BlastEm core on the reported MacOS and Intel hardware. Start from the CLI output around alloc_code and generated-code allocation; done means the ROM launches without the allocation error or desktop crash.
