Description

Now that VR is on the rise (like OR, Google Cardboard,Durovis Dive,...) it would be a neat feature to switch this on and off to get 3d vision you can use with your VR headset.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or rendering entry points. Start by locating the C code responsible for video output and display-mode selection, then determine how a toggle could produce split-screen stereoscopic output for VR headsets. Done means the mode can be switched on and off and produces the requested 3D view without changing the normal display.
