Description

Is there an existing issue for this?
  • This is a bug in RetroArch frontend
  • I have searched the existing issues
Description

When I try to enter my username "KoozDude" into the Settings > Achievements > Username panel on the AppleTV version of RetroArch, I find that RetroArch very often quits, usually when I am typing the third character in the name. I have not been able to get the entire thing entered yet. It would be nice if this were fixed.

Expected behavior

I expected to be able to enter my name without crashing

Steps to reproduce the bug
  1. Launch RetroArch (using the xmb interface driver)
  2. Choose Settings
  3. Choose Achievements
  4. Choose Username
  5. Start typing in the name "KoozDude" with this exact capitalization

RetroArch will crash after a few keypresses

Research direction

Start by reproducing the crash in RetroArch 1.22.2 on Apple TV 14,1 using the XMB interface, following the listed Settings > Achievements > Username steps. Compare behavior with a nightly build if available and capture a relevant log or crash trace. Done means entering "KoozDude" no longer causes RetroArch to quit.
