Description
hello :)
fitrst of all, sorry if my question is stupid
i am on version 1.14 and would like to know if i can use retroarch-sourceonly-1.22.2.tar.xz as an update
indeed, i have arm box ARMV7 ARM-CORTEX A9 with armbian and would like if using this file in a specific folder can allow me to perform update

Research direction
The issue mentions retroarch-sourceonly-1.22.2.tar.xz and an ARMv7 Armbian setup, but no repository file, entry point, or test. First clarify whether the source archive is intended to update an existing installation and which manual-update path is supported; done would be a documented, reproducible update procedure.
