Description

Description

Despite downloading and installing the latest nightly build for Nintendo switch, and running in Full RAM mode (via holding R while opening any game). I am able to navigate and open the Retroarch application from my switch, however anytime I go to load any core/content the switch goes completely black (although still backlit), and I cannot navigate or use home button. I can only hold the power button to manually restart. This is a v2 switch.

Steps to reproduce

Download latest nightly build
Extract and copy into root of SD (having deleted the previous retroarch folder and files)
Boot into EmuMMC, title override, select Retroarch
Go into 'Load Cores' and select any core.
Black screen is shown with complete blocking of input.

Research direction

No source file or test is named. First reproduce the failure on a Nintendo Switch in EmuMMC with Title Override and Full RAM mode, using the reported RetroArch nightly, then trace the platform-specific path reached by Load Cores when any core is selected. Done means core loading no longer produces a backlit black screen or blocks input and the behavior is verified against the reported setup.
