Description
Description
Steps to observe the setting:
- Connect a mouse (Bluetooth, or via USB hub) in Android
- Open RetroArch.
- Navigate to Settings -> User Interface
- Observe that "Mouse Support" is disabled
Feature request
Enable "Mouse Support" by default.
Enabling Mouse Support in RetroArch on Android carries no risk. A connected mouse functions as expected, while no unintended actions occur without one, even if the setting remains active. However, since mouse support is disabled by default it leads users to mistakenly believe mouse functionality is defective, as they overlook the need to enable it first.

Research direction
Start by locating the Android-specific default for the User Interface "Mouse Support" setting and inspect how RetroArch initializes settings on Android. Confirm the change by connecting a mouse, opening Settings -> User Interface, and verifying that Mouse Support is enabled by default while the existing behavior without a mouse remains unaffected.
