Raspberry Pi 5 Cant Download Cores + stuck in online updater and load a core menu.

Description

I compiled RetroArch from source to use under Pi OS on my Raspberry Pi 5 Model B Rev 1.1, However, trying to download a Core doesn't show me the list of cores for me to download. Furthermore, using the "Download Core" Button just breaks the UI by keeping the Text for the Download Core button where it is, and overlaps other UI text and It wont let me leave the online updater or load core menu. When this happens, I cannot go back to the main menu to try to restart RetroArch.

I'll also include an image of the version of RetroArch that's giving me issues.

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. navigate to the online updater or load core button
2. press on "Download a Core"
3. The entire menu breaks and you can't go back to the main menu.

Start by reproducing the issue through the online updater or Load Core menu on Raspberry Pi OS, then select Download a Core. Check whether the core list loads and whether the menu remains navigable afterward. Done means the list is available and the UI can leave the updater or load-core menu without overlapping text or becoming stuck.
