Description

Is there an existing issue for this?
  • This is a bug in RetroArch frontend
  • I have searched the existing issues
Description

The PPSSPP emulator is crashing the RetroArch app once you load a game. This has been an issue before, which was resolved but it seems to be occurring again.

If you change the video driver to opengl, it will work as expected. However using the default vulkan results in the instant crash.

Expected behavior

No response

Steps to reproduce the bug
  1. Use the vulkan video driver
  2. Launch game

Research direction

Reproduce the crash on tvOS 18.5 with the Vulkan driver, PPSSPP core commit a39eb4d, and RetroArch 1.21.0; compare it with the working OpenGL configuration. Read the previous issue #16536 for related context and collect relevant logs. Done means PPSSPP games launch without crashing under the default Vulkan driver.
