Description
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I can't use rewind in certain cores.
Describe the solution you'd like
The implementation of serialized save state support, so that it would be possible to rewind in games that use the following cores:
- flycast (Dreamcast)
- hatariB (Atari ST)
- PX68k (X68000)
- SwanStation (PlayStation)
Describe alternatives you've considered
Seek out emulators that can rewind games in realtime that run on the aforementioned systems. Ufortunately, I came up with nothing.
Additional context
I often need to resort to rewind as an accessibility feature when playing older games, but this unfortunately isn’t currently an option for me with some of the RetroArch cores I use.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Begin by investigating serialized save-state support for the flycast, hatariB, PX68k, and SwanStation cores; done would mean rewind works for games using those cores.
