When using a .cia build of Retroarch, attempting to Load Content and then selecting any directory causes the system to crash. Gambatte is used as an example in the image.

Research direction

Reproduce the crash on the stated Luma3DS/New Nintendo 3DS XL setup using the .cia build, then trace the RetroArch frontend's Load Content directory-selection path. Compare behavior when selecting sdmc:/ and other directories; done means directories can be opened and content can be selected and loaded without crashing.
