Description

Is there an existing issue for this?
  • This is a bug in RetroArch frontend
  • I have searched the existing issues
Description

The screen freezes and unfreezes intermittently while playing, but the audio is unaffected and the game itself is still running. You can get the screen to unfreeze itself temporarily by opening up the RetroArch menu, but it'll freeze again not long after that. Everything runs totally fine if you disable Rewind Support from the Settings menu in RetroArch. I have yet to experience this behavior in other games loaded in the Mupen64Plus-Next core.

Expected behavior

The game should run without issue whether or not Rewind Support is enabled.

Steps to reproduce the bug
  1. Enable Rewind Support in RetroArch
  2. Load Banjo-Kazooie or Banjo-Tooie in Mupen64Plus-Next Core
  3. Play the game

Research direction

No source file, test, or code entry point is identified. First reproduce the freeze with Rewind Support enabled in RetroArch using Banjo-Kazooie or Banjo-Tooie and the Mupen64Plus-Next core under the affected glcore driver; done means the screen remains responsive while audio and gameplay continue normally.
