Description
RetroArch currently supports decompressing single-file ROMs when using the standard "Load" function to start a game, but faces limitations with multi-file disc images. It would be useful to extend this existing decompression capability to the "Load New Disc" functionality so compressed disc files can be loaded without manually decompressing them first.
Users often extract a decompressed game but forget to decompress files within it (such as individual disc files). As a result, they become confused when they cannot load new discs, as they don't realize that some files are still compressed.

Research direction
Start by finding the existing "Load" decompression path and the "Load New Disc" entry point in RetroArch. Compare how single-file ROMs are handled with multi-file disc images, then verify that compressed disc files can be loaded through "Load New Disc" without manual extraction.
