Linuxraw in Ubuntu MATE 24.04 identifies Sony DualSense and Sony Dualshock 4 v2, but not Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

Description

• Linuxraw in Ubuntu MATE 23.04, and 22.04 identifies all three controllers.
• Linuxraw in Ubuntu MATE 24.04 identifies Sony DualSense and Sony Dualshock 4 v2, but not Nintendo Switch Pro Controller

Expected behavior

Nintendo Switch Pro Controller should be identified

Actual behavior

Steps to reproduce the bug

• Run Ubuntu MATE 24.04 in live mode or ideally install it[1]
• Change the controller profile directory so you can use "Save Controller Profile" later.
• Navigate to Settings -> Drivers -> Controller, and select "linuxraw".
• Connect a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller via USB[2]
• Restart RetroArch to apply the new setting.
• Go to Settings -> Input -> RetroPad Binds -> Port 1 Controls, and click on "Save Controller Profile".

1: The Flatpak package cannot be installed in live mode, and linuxraw cannot be used as virtual machine by QEMU
2: I could not connect it over Bluetooth in Ubuntu MATE 24.04 in live mode, even if this was possible in Ubuntu MATE 23.04, and 22.04.

Start by reproducing the controller profile flow in Ubuntu MATE 24.04: select Settings → Drivers → Controller → linuxraw, connect the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller by USB, restart RetroArch, and save the Port 1 controller profile. Compare the result with Ubuntu MATE 22.04 or 23.04; done means the Nintendo controller is identified and its profile can be saved.
