Description

It would be nice to be able to set SDL hints via the RetroArch config instead of only environment variables, e.g. For the switch controller home led settings in newer SDL versions, or the button, or SDL_GAMECONTROLLER_USE_BUTTON_LABELS, etc. Rather than having to use environment variables.

Research direction

Start by locating RetroArch's configuration parsing and the existing setup that passes SDL hints through environment variables. Define how hints should be represented in the config, then verify that examples such as controller home-LED settings and SDL_GAMECONTROLLER_USE_BUTTON_LABELS can be set there instead of through environment variables.
