Description
First and foremost consider this:
- Only RetroArch bugs should be filed here. Not core bugs or game bugs
- This is not a forum or a help section, this is strictly developer oriented
Description
All the NDS cores on 1.19.1 except desmume 2015 fail to load on xbox series s (melonds, melonds ds, desmume). I tried factory resetting and uninstalling the app and reinstalling but to no avail. All NDS games are affected even after bios files are put into the root directory of the system folder. I have increased the dev storage to 260 gb which is plenty for nds.
Expected behavior
it doesn't fail to load and launches the game
[What you expected to happen]
Actual behavior
it fails to load the cores mentioned above
[What is actually happening]
Steps to reproduce the bug
set NDS core association to anything but desmume 2015 > launch game
- [First step]
- [Second step]
- [and so on...]
Bisect Results
After fresh install of Rertroarch 1.19.1. The cores worked fine on 1.17
[Try to bisect and tell us when this started happening]

Research direction
Start by reproducing the failure on an Xbox Series S with RetroArch 1.19.1, using the listed NDS cores and comparing them with desmume 2015 and version 1.17. Trace the core-loading path for the NDS association; done means melonds, melonds ds, and desmume launch games successfully in DEV mode.
