Description
Description- When launching a Sega Genesis game from retroarch on my Nintendo Wii some games cause the screen to go black. Upon this I am unable to do anything as my Wii remote won’t connect. After shutting the system off and reloading retroarch I’m met with the same black screen. Unable to even get into the application. Deleting the retroarch-Wii file and reinstalling it does fix the issue. I’m confused how my game file causing a system meltdown of the software.

Research direction
No source file, test, RetroArch version, commit, game, or core is identified. Start by reproducing the black screen on a Nintendo Wii with a Sega Genesis game, then capture the missing environment details and determine whether the failure persists after restarting; done requires an isolated cause and a verified fix.
