Description
When you press pause ( P key ) during the game, there is a large and constant load on the CPU (70%-80%), and when you try to minimize or maximize the window Retroarch - Retroarch abruptly and immediately terminates. The same error is in the previous version (1.16.0).
My system: XP
I attach the logs:
RetroArch 1.17.0.log

Research direction
Start by reviewing the attached RetroArch 1.17.0 log and reproducing the pause, minimize, and maximize behavior on the reported XP system. Trace the relevant desktop event and pause paths using the log output; done means pausing no longer causes sustained 70%-80% CPU usage and window state changes no longer terminate RetroArch.
