Description

First and foremost consider this:

  • Only RetroArch bugs should be filed here. Not core bugs or game bugs
  • This is not a forum or a help section, this is strictly developer oriented

Description

I would like the feature for soft patching be able to select rom. I have alot of patches, it would save alot of space to be able to just select the rom to load a patch. I know you can rename them but then each patch needs it's own copy of them rom.

Research direction

The issue does not identify files, tests, or an entry point. Start by locating RetroArch’s soft-patching implementation and ROM-selection flow; done means a user can select the ROM when launching a soft patch without copying or renaming the ROM.
