Description
Description
Since the background color for the bars on the sides of the image is black, it becomes more difficult to predict what comes up in games with dark backgrounds. For example, in Alien 3 for SNES.
Feature request
It would be useful with a new setting that made it possible to set a custom background color for the bars on the sides of the image, so you don't disable Settings -> Video -> Fullscreen Mode -> Start in Fullscreen Mode and Restart each time you play these games.
Here's an example how it could look with gray background colors, as you can see it's easier to focus on the border of the screen.

Steps to reproduce the issue

Research direction
Start with the Settings → Video → Fullscreen Mode path and the code that draws the bars beside the image. Reproduce the behavior with Alien 3 for SNES, then trace how fullscreen settings reach video rendering. Done means a new setting lets users choose the bars' background color and that color is visible in fullscreen.
