Description
Description
Freezing Desktop Menu
Expected behavior
Expected Desktop Menu to remain responsive
Steps to reproduce the bug
- Start Retroarch
- Open Desktop Menu
- Minimize Retroarch's main window then maximize
- Move cursor
- Desktop Menu freezes and have to force kill
Bisect Results
This happened when I first started using the Desktop Menu upon installing the Wayland compositor. Terminal output: "The Wayland connection broke. Did the Wayland compositor die?" Seems related to an issue qtox had, this QT bug and this OBS studio bug. Doesn't seem related to vsync on wayland as I just submitted, soon to be resolved, and dealt with such on Firefox with interface freezing on GUI update. Log output. Output of wayland debug.
Version/Commit

Research direction
Start by reproducing the freeze on EndeavorOS with KDE and a Wayland compositor using the listed RetroArch steps, then review the terminal, log, and Wayland debug output. Done means the Desktop Menu remains responsive after minimizing and maximizing RetroArch and moving the cursor.
