Description

Not sure if this is expected behaviour on OSX but it appears the controller profiles aren't called when loading a controller?

Retroarch log is here: https://pastebin.com/Sx3vQPSs

Expected behavior

Gamepad's profile to be saveable and loadable, otherwise there is just one profile that is forever overwritten when using different controllers.

Steps to reproduce the bug
  1. Connect a controller to Mac
  2. Load Retroarch, set input driver to hid or mfi
  3. Check log or attempt to save a controller profile
  • OS: OSX 13.4.1 / MacBook Air M1

Research direction

Start by reviewing the linked RetroArch log and reproducing the issue on macOS with the hid and mfi input drivers. Trace how controller profiles are saved and loaded, then verify that profiles for different controllers can be saved separately and loaded without being overwritten.
