Description
First and foremost consider this:
- Only RetroArch bugs should be filed here. Not core bugs or game bugs
- This is not a forum or a help section, this is strictly developer oriented
Description
Basically the title. This means that VT switching in KMS/DRM retroarch and resolution switch might be 'fixed' by the right calls which will fix a lot of problems on retroarch in KMS outside of Lakka (which runs as root).

Research direction
Start by reading the linked mpv pull request and compare its Linux kernel 5.10 DRM-master capability with RetroArch's KMS/DRM behavior. The issue names no RetroArch files or tests; done would require identifying the relevant calls and confirming that non-root VT switching and resolution changes work outside Lakka.
