Description
Audio in X68000 core is choppy, fixed by changing various options within the quick menu or changing audio latency values. But when booting again the problem continues and you have to touch the options again to fix it

Research direction
Start by reproducing the choppy audio with the X68000 core on Linux x64 using RetroArch 1.9.11. Compare a fresh boot with sessions after changing quick-menu options or audio latency values. Done means audio remains synchronized after restarting without manually changing options; the report names no files or tests, so the relevant audio path must first be located.
