Description
I'm sure this has been talked about before, or perhaps it's the subject of another ticket. Feel free to refer to it. Perhaps by some chance this hasn't been considered lately. RetroPad is a good system, but it would be nice to be able to override it on occasion similarly to MAME; by selecting from a platform's possible inputs, having RA prompt for a keystroke or button press, and applying as needed. Thanks for looking.

Research direction
Start by reviewing the existing quick menu, Controls, and RetroPad behavior, then check whether related tickets or discussions already define the approach. Done should include a prompt for manual key or button input, application of the override, and saving it per game or core.
