Description
Can anybody please confirm if you get the same audio issue as me in Genesis Plus GX core, please ?
The issue here is:
If you set up in audio> settings Output rate down to 22100, then pause/unpause the game with your/default keyboard hotkey a couple of times. This seems to get muted from time to time and I have to do pause/unpause for about 2-3 times in order to restore sound as it should. This behavior happens the same way if you go to main menu (and the core should get paused by default) so returning back to game should cause the same behavior eventually.
This behavior doesn't happen to me in 48k output rate though (by default).
I have tested up this happening in at least Genesis Plus GX and Nestopia UE cores.
This is on Windows 10 64 bits, 1.9.3 RA
So if this happens to more people, I'd like to report this as a bug. It's a bit annoying but not completely since I use this audio output rate and very usually tweak the options for different experiences on the same core. I hope this can reach developers.
Have a good day !

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue on Windows 10 with RetroArch 1.9.3, output rate set to 22100, and the Genesis Plus GX or Nestopia UE core; pause and unpause repeatedly or return from the main menu. Done means audio consistently resumes without requiring multiple pause/unpause cycles, including at the lower output rate.
