Description

Both save states and roms will take 30 seconds to 1 minute to load.

Tested roms:
"Final Fantasy VII (US) (Disc 1) [Retranslation vR04c].chd" + Beetle PSX HW + Win10
"Classic NES Series - The Legend of Zelda (USA, Europe).zip" + VBA Next + Android 10

I know these are compressed formats but please remember savestates are also slow.
(Except on Android. After loading the first savestate file access remains fast for the rest of the session)
(In Win10 i also tried to move RetroArch to an SSD. But result was the same.)

I updated to latest stable version (v1.9.0) hoping it would be fixed. Didn't work. What DID work was switching to RGUI.

Keep up the awesome work!

Research direction

Start by reproducing the delay in Ozone with the listed CHD and ZIP ROMs and with save states on Windows 10 and Android 10. Compare the same file-access actions in RGUI; done means loading is no longer delayed in Ozone while preserving the tested platforms and formats.
