Description

Retroarch 1.90 Linux PC
Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon
cinnamon version 4.6.7
Kernel Version: 5.4.0-52 Generic
AMD Ryzen 3 3200G with Radeon Vega Graphics × 4

Also tested on Raspberry Pi 4 b, via Lakka OS 2.3.2 stable and nightly builds

Despite my newer pc, I am still getting slow frame rates when playing NDS titles, Ie. Pokemon HG, Fossil Fighters. I have used Melon DS and the two DesMume cores with the same slow framerate and off audio sounds from trying out multiple roms already.

Research direction

No source file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reproducing the slow framerate and audio issue in RetroArch 1.90 with the listed Nintendo DS cores and titles, comparing the Linux PC and Raspberry Pi setups. Done means the cause is narrowed to a reproducible component and the issue has a verified fix or a documented limitation.
