First and foremost consider this:

The core updater doesn’t work. (Even after core online updater)

Expected behavior

To get a list of cores

Actual behavior

Nothing happens. No list of cores. The menu freezes and doubles when moving around in the menu

Steps to reproduce the bug
  1. Install game.retroarch-9.184.18.zip via bite-your-idols via gitbrowser
  2. Exit kodi and open retroarch
  3. Online updater - update core info files
  4. Core updater
  5. Nothing happens. The menu freezes and doubles when move around in the menu
