Description

Right now UWP is causing some issues on certain Xbox one devices due to using dll files along with UWP during Dev Mode. I was wondering if it's possible to get a version of retroarch that's statically linked instead. It doesn't have to come with every core, it could come with one for each platform. Or it could come with just the advanced cores (like ps1, n64, dolphin, etc).

I'm very sorry if I missed a guide for this somewhere (how the cores are linked), and I'm willing to compile it myself if I could get pointed to the right direction. Sorry for any inconveniences.

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the UWP build configuration and how cores are linked and packaged. Done would be a statically linked UWP version, with the supported core packaging approach defined.
