after a very quick check, the gui of the try it out link is not very simply usable.
most of the page is just text without an actual gui that would be easy to use.
Proposal
make a logisim evolution style editor that can be used directly in the tool chain.
as if you would be making eclipse for java ide compiler combo, as an example.
additional
needs to work in windows also as a single executable install package.
