Description

Describe the bug

When I add mesh data to viewer, show_lines can toggle the visbility of face edges, but when I add only points and edges to viewer(to display a curve or a line), show_lines just doesn't work.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the issue with viewer.data().show_lines using only points and edges, then compare it with mesh data where face-edge visibility works. Trace the viewer data path for line visibility and verify the result by confirming that toggling show_lines changes edge visibility for curve or line-only data.
