I eagerly anticipated this, thank you!

I'm really, really happy to find this on reddit, thanks for doing this software! This tool is really usefull to use as reference to draw animations.
It's already working fine here, but can I recommend some extra features?

• It would be amazing if you could add the ability to rotate or invert videos/gifs, similar to images in Original PureRef.

• I haven't experienced any lag, but I think a pause feature would be great, especially if you have +50 videos playing at the same time.

• Additionally, it would be fantastic to have total control over the frames, like skipping just one frame or going back 5 frames. You can find more details about this feature on syncsketch.com or in software called Keyframe Pro. In youtube you can skip frame by frame too

These are just some ideas. As I mentioned before, it's already working perfectly.

The issue proposes video/GIF rotation or inversion, pausing, and frame-by-frame controls, but names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the existing video and GIF handling, then narrow the work to one feature with an agreed scope. Done should include the selected behavior working without regressing current playback.
