Description

Which OS ?

Android

Version

Which versions are you using:

  • react-native-swiper v^1.5.6
  • react-native v0.55.4
Expected behaviour

Pushing Next/Previous buttons should navigate to the next/previous page without delay.

Actual behaviour

There's a short delay of a second or so before scrolling after clicking the button (Button goes grey for a second and then page switches). Swiping navigates without delay.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Have a swiper component with showsButtons={true}
  2. Push the 'next' button
  3. Observe short delay before page switches to the next one

Research direction

Start by reproducing the delay on Android with react-native-swiper v1.5.6 and React Native 0.55.4 using a swiper with showsButtons={true}. Trace the Next and Previous button navigation separately from swipe navigation, and consider the issue done when button presses switch pages without the reported delay.
