Description

Works seamlessly on iOS but on android, the initial index is not being respected. The view always starts from index 0. Any pointers?

<Swiper
          ref={'swiper'}
          index={this.state.selCatIndex}
          onMomentumScrollEnd={this._onMomentumScrollEnd}
          scrollEnabled={false}
          showsButtons={false}
          showsPagination={false}
          loop={false}

Research direction

No file, test, or entry point is named in the issue. Reproduce the Android case with the shown Swiper props, then trace how the index prop is applied during initial rendering; done when the view starts at selCatIndex on Android as it does on iOS.
