Description

Hi, thank you very much for writing this book! It's been a super valuable resource!

I am fairly new to functional programming, so I didn't have much background on instance search, and I found 3.2 pretty confusing. After consulting with Claude and Stack Overflow, I think I got it and was able to do the exercises, but I think it would be helpful to lengthen the chapter a bit and give a lot of examples on instance search and where it's useful. Thank you!

Research direction

Start by reading part 3.2 and its exercises to identify where instance search is introduced and where readers may need more context. Done means expanding the explanation with useful examples and clarifying when instance search is useful, while preserving the chapter's existing exercises and structure.
