Description

**DESCRIPTION:**

Running the app for the first time after installation occasionally results in a Start Fail Error screen. This happens about 1 in 10 times on my more powerful Pixel 2 XL, and about 1 in 3 times on my slower Galaxy S5.

"App startup failed. Please check your data connection and try again. If this problem persists, please email hello@lbry.com"

Everything loads successfully when launching the app again in the future.

-----

**REPRO STEPS:**
1) Install LBRY 0.15.6
2) Launch the application
3) Wait for initial load screen to resolve

**Results:** Startup Fail Error

**Expected:** App loads

-----

**ENVIRONMENT:**

- Pixel 2 XL (Android 10)
- Galaxy S5 (Android 9)

Research direction

No source file or test is named. Start by reproducing the first-launch failure on the listed Pixel 2 XL and Galaxy S5 environments, then trace the startup path and capture why the initial load fails. Done means the app loads reliably after installation, tests pass, and the listed device environments are verified.
