Description

Is it possible to remove empty lines in files using gulp-replace? I've tried this, but it didn't work:

  .pipe(replace(/^\s*$/, '', { skipBinary: true }))

Thanks.

Research direction

Start with gulp-replace and reproduce the supplied replace(/^\s*$/, '', { skipBinary: true }) example against a file containing empty lines. Determine whether the plugin can remove those lines, and verify that the completed behavior leaves no empty lines while preserving other content.
