As code development has continued on a few fronts, it's become a bit harder to trace issues corresponding to specific versions of code. As a result, a suggested enhancement would be to add the package version to the output files to help trace issues.

Locate the R code that writes the output files and inspect how package metadata is currently assembled. Confirm which output files should include the package version; done means the version is present in those files and existing package checks still pass.
