Description

I'm trying to read Lance tables with Spark that include FixedSizeBinary(N) columns. Is there a way to read these into a Spark supported data type? Alternatively is there a way to skip loading certain columns?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported Spark read with a Lance table containing FixedSizeBinary(N) columns. Investigate the Spark integration and determine whether the work should provide a Spark-supported type mapping or a way to skip selected columns; done means one of those paths is supported and verified.
