Description
update lance dependencies to v4.0.0 (currently they seem to be pinned to 1.0.1) and see if we can leverage some of the efficiency and speed gains coming with format v2.2 (usage has to be configured) also in the graph world, or if e.g. introduced compressions have a negative impact on graph workloads
Results should be easily measurable with https://github.com/prrao87/graph-benchmark-ldbc

Research direction
Inspect the repository's Lance dependency pins and the graph query paths that use them, then use graph-benchmark-ldbc for before-and-after measurements. Done means Lance v4.0.0 is evaluated or integrated, format v2.2 usage is configured where appropriate, and efficiency, speed, compression, and graph-workload impacts are measurable.
