Is this stable or stale? / Consider security updates?

Hi cool project — I'd like to use something like KSS and kss-node in particular, but I wonder if it is still maintained, or is there an emergent inheritor of the functionality? I am trying to avoid a react/SPA oriented solution and develop something that is much more custom for my (pythonic) team. Perhaps my question is, what is the state of the art for styleguides in Node ... but not with React?

If I use this, I would presumably need to apply security updates first, so I will add that as the title of this issue.
