Description
### Variant
Desktop app (macOS)
### Affected area
Map / Globe
### Bug description
## Summary
In the macOS desktop app, the documented map layers **Internet Outages**
and **Cyber Threats** do not appear in the Layer Selector.
This happens although the related connectors are enabled and report `READY`.
## Environment
- App: World Monitor Desktop
- Version: 2.5.23 (2.5.23)
- Bundle ID: `app.worldmonitor.desktop`
- Platform: macOS on Apple Silicon, 64-bit
- Installation: GitHub release (not App Store)
## Expected behavior
The layers listed in the built-in “Map Layers Guide” should be available
in the Layer Selector when their respective connectors are enabled and ready:
- Internet Outages
- Cyber Threats
## Actual behavior
Neither layer appears in the Layer Selector.
The guide documents:
- `Internet Outages` — Internet outages and service disruptions
- `Cyber Threats` — Cyber attacks and security incidents
But the list jumps from `AI Data Centers` to `Military Activity`;
both documented layers are absent.
## Connector status
The following related connectors are enabled and show `READY`:
- Cloudflare outage radar
- abuse.ch cyber IOC feeds
- AlienVault OTX threat intel
- AbuseIPDB threat intel
### Steps to reproduce
## Steps to reproduce
1. Launch World Monitor Desktop 2.5.23 on macOS.
2. Open Settings → Security & Threats.
3. Enable Cloudflare outage radar and the cyber IOC/threat-intel sources.
4. Confirm that each connector reports `READY`.
5. Open the map Layer Selector.
6. Check the Infrastructure / Security-related layers.
## Result
`Internet Outages` and `Cyber Threats` are not available as selectable
map layers, despite being documented and having ready data connectors.
### Expected behavior
When Cloudflare outage radar and the configured cyber threat-intelligence
connectors are enabled and report `READY`, the corresponding documented map
layers should be available in the Layer Selector:
- Internet Outages
- Cyber Threats
The layers should be selectable and render the available geographic outage
events and cyber-threat indicators on the map. If a connector is disabled,
unconfigured, or unavailable, its related layer may remain hidden or be
shown as unavailable.
### Screenshots / Console errors
### Browser & OS
macOS 26.6 "Tahoe"

Research direction
Start by tracing the map Layer Selector and the connector-to-layer registration for the Cloudflare and cyber threat sources, then compare those entries with the built-in Map Layers Guide. Done means Internet Outages and Cyber Threats appear when their connectors are enabled and ready, remain unavailable when sources are not usable, and render their available map data.
