pause media while recording not working

**Describe the bug**
When I have music running through VLC and the app setting for pause media while recording is toggled on, the music does not turn off when I'm recording.

**Expected behavior**
when I'm recording using hex I'm expecting the music to either pause or dim in volume and then when I'm done recording, it should fade back in or start playing again.

Reproduce the issue in Hex 0.2.5 with VLC playing and the pause-media-while-recording setting enabled. Trace the recording flow and the setting's media-control behavior; done means media pauses or dims during recording and resumes or fades back afterward.
