Description
**Describe the bug**
My keyboard shortcut is option space and when I use it in hex it adds a space before it like in the title of this post and the description that I've written. I've used hex to write it so it should have added an extra space when starting the app
**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Use option space as a shortcut.
2. And then activate it let's start talking. You should see an automatic space.
**Expected behavior**
It shouldn't capture space. This is how it works in handy.computer but not in Hex.

Research direction
No source files or tests are named in the issue. Start by reproducing the bug in the legacy Swift macOS app with an Option+Space shortcut, then trace the shortcut and text-input handling. Done means activating the shortcut does not insert a leading space before dictated input.
