Research direction
Start by reproducing the behavior in PowerShell with WindTerm version 2.7.0, repeatedly pressing Ctrl+C as described in the issue. Trace the terminal's Ctrl+C input handling and compare the result with expected line wrapping; done means repeated presses no longer produce literal ^C output instead of normal line breaks.
