Setting default folder for Filer

I was not able to find any possible config, setting temporary folder for Filer in Linux.
Problem is, I am not able to set necessary user permissions(strict corporate policy) for the default destination (in my case /opt/windterm/ ).
Without permission to mkdir get an error, while opening file.
Possible solution is to rearrange default Filer folder to some other directory.

No file or test is identified in the issue. Start by locating the Filer implementation and where it chooses its default folder on Linux, then reproduce the mkdir failure under restricted permissions. Done means users can configure a writable alternative directory and opening files no longer depends on /opt/windterm/.
