Possible to change UI text size?

The text on the user interface is too big for me.
Is it possible to change it to a smaller size?
The preference dialog allows us to change the font size of the terminals, but not the interface of the application.

Start with the preference dialog, where terminal font size is already configurable, and trace how those settings are stored and applied to the interface. Add an option for a smaller UI text size and verify that it changes application UI text without changing terminal font sizing.
